Our Home : Kitchen Inspiration
I struggle to pick my favorite room in a home. Each space serves a function and brings an important element to our life; from comfort, rest, energy, nourishment, and joy.
But I believe the kitchen can provide all the essentials in one room. A place to bring comfort and nourishment from the food you make. A space to gather with others and create energy. And a place to relax and unwind from the day while you create meals with loved ones.
In the commercial world, I have designed a few break rooms (the kitchen of the office) but this was my first time ever designing a kitchen, and I had so much inspiration flooding me, it became hard to make a decision.
So I am taking design cues from our kitchen space itself. I focused on a lighter, cleaner, approach to keep the space open and provide a neutral background to our kitchen appliances and the meals we cook. Of course keeping modern, natural, and simple in mind. Below are a variety of designs that have inspired me during our process.
